Each speaker to give short introduction (5-10 mins each) followed
by general discussion.
Questions for enforcement panel:
- What are the main enforcement challenges your organisation faces
today which might affect consumers?
- What areas of EU policy should consumers be concerned about
from an enforcement point of view (Food hygiene? Health claims?
Meat inspection, misrepresentation and product labelling?)
- How might proposed changes in the structures and relationships
at the UK level affect enforcement priorities?
- How might consumers input into this process?
- Risk-based enforcement in practice - is it just cost-cutting
by another name?
- How can consumers be confident that the levels of enforcement
are sufficient and ensure a satisfactory level of protection -
i.e. how do you measure the effectiveness of the arrangements?
